It’s just as well, because the country they were celebrated in no longer exists.
I’d wondered if I was so detached that I missed all the blockbuster Memorial Day Weekend sales this year—the Internet is my sole source of media consumption, so no flyers or ads for me—but the extremely low-key coverage of the 78th anniversary of D-Day on Monday confirmed my suspicions. Our ruling trash would rather we not dwell too much on those who served and died for—what? Five dollar a gallon gasoline, empty shelves, and sexual deviants exposing themselves before small children? Ridiculous old men in women’s clothes calling themselves women and giving orders in our once proudly masculine military?
Three years ago this country was happy, unafraid, and finally getting ahead. We’ll now spend the rest of our lives getting used to the sight of people wearing N95 masks outdoors like they do anything other than culture the bacteria in one’s breath into something that can infect your lungs. Restaurants and most retail outlets will be forever short-staffed. We’ve yet to see the worst of the inflation on fuel prices and commodities.
For the first time in my 60-year existence, I’ve watched two of the most celebrated days unique to this country soft-pedaled, because Moloch forbid anyone question whether we fought on the wrong side in World War II. “Hurr-durr, I knew it!” screeches any given apologist for the current regime. “You’re a HITLER LOVER!” And never mind that Adolf Hitler and the political party he embodied has been dead for nearly 80 years. Disregard the fact that the only “Nazis” around are in their febrile, yet extremely limited imaginations. Children brought into the presence of homosexuals and schooled on their lifestyles is progress. Men in dresses are women. Women with hormone-induced beards are men. Our once great cities are trash-strewn, crime-ridden slums and it’s all the fault of “white supremacy.” The good guys won.
And I’m the dangerously crazy one for believing in the living God, His only Son, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit Who has guided and sustained me throughout every crisis of my life. Meanwhile, as True Believers on the other side seek to censor and de-platform and “cancel” (read, “unperson”) others for Incorrect Attitudes and Thought, all the while denying they’re doing just that because it’s kinda what the Nazis did, we’re reliving 1920s Weimar-era Germany 100 years later in what’s left of the United States of America. Inflation, empty shelves, and gross sexual weirdos celebrated.
Read this now and believe it later, but you’ll wish it was Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany coming after to clean all this up. If who comes next to presumably set things right isn’t the Antichrist, he’ll do for a fine warm-up act.
As one of my favorite forbidden bloggers so succinctly put it, Republicans will sweep these midterm elections, and things will just get worse. It’s a slow turning, but once a critical mass of people realize the Uniparty/Deep State is a very real thing and this whole conservative Republican/liberal Democrat conflict is nothing more than a Punch ‘n’ Judy show staged for the rubes, that’s when things will really get interesting.
That’s down the road, though. We still have this long, hot, joyless summer to get through.
Hey, but no more mean tweets hurting the feelings of overpaid media propagandists! Seriously, I know people out there who will tell you most earnestly, and with the straightest of faces, that everything we’re suffering now is an improvement. Challenge them and they’ll being spluttering, okay, maybe so, but it’s all the previous president’s fault! The clearly senile old child-groper his handlers have stimmed up for press conferences is fixing everything.
Yep, nothing but good times ahead. Nothing to do but to stock up on essentials and pray for deliverance. Meanwhile, requiescat in pace, Memorial Day Weekend and D-Day. It’s a good thing it’s Pride Month. Hating the homosexuals will distract from all the other things we’ve lost to “progress.” Things like Western Civilization, and the once-proud nation that led it.
